Welcome

Pokerfolio.spruz.com is the updated version of pokerfolio.com. We will continue to bring you the inside scoop
on LasVegas poker happenings plus an improved results section.

Here's the site basics:

  • On the left we have basic community stuff like the members that are currently online, polling and shouts. Then on the Members Only page you have a better snapshot of what is happening in the community.
  • The first thing you will probably want to setup your profile some, at least a pic to give others a face relate to.
  • The rules are pretty simple; be nice to others, and you're good by us.

Bellagio Dec 2008

I was wondering why the MGM was more like Circus Circus as I
walked through yesterday. The Jonas Bros concert turned the
casino into a pre teen hotspot, ideal for Jon Eaton.

Toto Leonidas, with 5 final tables at the Festa in October, started
where he left off as he was heads up with Chris Roat as I left.
Other results from the day:

10) George Griffin  $3k
9)   Larry Kenzy
8)  Richard Schwartz
7)  Dan Donati
6) Tom Berg
5) Phi Nguyen
4) H Antonesian
3) Bert Holting
2)
1) $112790

Todays survivors included : David Pham, Ted Lawson, Bruce Corman,
Giou Luong, Jon Little + Yosh Nakino.

Fall Classic GN
Posted by pokerfolio on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 6:56:50 PM
I love the game selection at the Golden Nugget's Fall Classic.
The $230 buy in's ,begin at noon in the ballroom, include a
trophy. If you are in Vegas why not visit downtown. I did today.
Neonopolis still looks closed but the El Cortez has improved
tenfold. I never thought I would write that and I wouldn't if
Jackie G had stayed in charge.

The GN is a maze, completely different. The buffet is upstairs,
new restaurants, new poker room, great pool. Only 23 in Saturdays
mixed which is a shame.

Here is the remaining schedule:
26th PLO h/l
27th LO  h/l
28th HORSE
29th mix
30th LO h/l

The Golden Nugget has always been the nicest casino downtown.
The tournaments are in the ballroom not the poker room.

"Chainsaw" Kessler's offer of "Real Deal" tickets. However here is
the skinny (and it is skinny):

Buy in : $2500
Entries: 233
Prize Money: $167283

Players left: Fabrice Soulier, Jeff Rene, Michael Binger.

Today I attended the GGE
Posted by pokerfolio on Friday, November 21, 2008 at 4:31:30 AM
The Global Gaming Convention is probably my favourite convention.

I did attend the Adult one,AVR, one January but it was pretty tacky.

The recession hit companies have all but eliminated the agency models
who added to the enjoyment.

A few of the larger companies Ballys, WMS and Aristocrat had open
bars.

I played an IGT, who won all my accolades for video poker, game where
in the bonus round you played Doyle Brunson heads up at a WPT
stage with commentary by Mike Sexton. I believe Doyle attended
one day to sign autographs and pose for photos.

Another IGT game featured a dream card option where ,for an extra
bet if you are dealt 3 of a kind or 4 to a flush, for example, you
would be dealt the best possible card on the redraw. If you were
not dealt a good hand you lost the bet.

The Breeders Cup, my real love, also had a game but I could not
reach the bonus round where each horse has a starting price so if
a longshot wins you could pick up $500. The favourite was only
worth $9.

I was going to say not many freebies but one of the people I went
with managed to fill two bags somehow, mostly pens.
