Although Maria Ho, Lacey Jones<br>and Tiffany Michelle opted to travel east to AC the event attracted 1592<br>players for the $300 event. Results:<br>1) Eugene Rojas 125k<br>2) Oscar Reyes&nbsp;&nbsp; 65k<br>3) Sara Chau&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;35k<br><br>Event #2 provided a much needed payday for David Plastik.<br>The ex photographer, CardPlayer employee, was scoring for<br>the first time since 2006 here in LA. He walked by with TD Jack McClelland.<br>A respectable distance behind Pam Brunson, Anjela Brunson<br>and Ken Hale.<br><br>Steve, Amnon and Chino share the same friend base. Ironically,<br>Justin Young (supported by<a title="Shannon shorr" href="http://www.pokerfolio.spruz.com/?page=gallery&amp;cmd=img&amp;guid=381733B9-8B77-4CF6-9697-2E0BCC36EBD5&amp;gallery_id=262409"> Shannon Shorr</a> + Adam Geyer.)and<br>Evan McNiff are the joint chip leaders.<br><br>Curly haired David Levi just topped up my chai and Joe Tehan<br>is on his way down to sweat Justin.<br><br>The cold weather continues in Las Vegas although no more <br>snowstorms are predicted.<br><br>Palio closed and I lost my connection.<br><br>Anyhow, as most of you will know by now Chino Rheem <br>continued his brilliant run and defeated Justin Young.<br><br>I really hope Justin continues to play the smaller buy in <br>tournaments around town rather than follow the circuit.<br>his $900k will last a lifetime if he does.<br><br>Don't forget to vote on the Real Deal poll. I cannot see it<br>lasting much longer especially if the backers can escape <br>paying the $5k an episode some of the stars are rumoured<br>to make.<br><br>The Pokerbattle rep/owner? Yarom <br>is always organising dinners with dealers, players and media and <br>never worries too much about the poker side.<br><br>His only dark side is he is always killing wildlife. Even a drive to <br>Tahoe ended in the death of a deer. The deer was grazing two <br>fields away from the interstate at the time.<br><br>To return to my story, Yarom returns to Vegas today and he <br>really does have the worst table draw. I <br>believe he had backers. The money probably never <br>returned to Russia so the backer sent some young players<br>over to "launder" the money.<br><br>These players do not speak much English and obviously<br>talk with each other in their native tongue. They may <br>not even know each other , such is the size of Russia.<br>They are more likely to be commenting on what a great<br>venue the Fontana lounge is or if they know the score of<br>the Madrid v Zenit game.<br><br>Some Americans are currently at the EPT in Prague. Can<br>you imagine if they were told to speak Czech only? <br><br>Most of the dealers at the Commerce understand Vietnamese<br>better than English so they can police conversations <br>between players there.<br><br>Allen Kessler was bitterly disappointed to be eliminated <br>with pocket kings three spots off the money in a $5k<br>tournament. On Monday evening as I passed through all<br>three tables were being used. <br>The casino has an aces cracked promotion and comps at a competitive<br>$2 per hour.<br><br>Over 150 for the reduced buy in Seniors. Players who survived<br>day1 include: Yosh Nakino, Giou Luong, Stan Fulton, Nancy Todd,<br>Humberto Brenes, Soheil, Ron Stanley, Tom Franklin, <br>Chris Bjorin + Max Stern. It isn't really in a prime location for anything except maybe a<br>keno lounge and the Excalibur still has the sole use of the pokerpro <br>dealerless tables. The Tropicana is in financial trouble so I am sure the<br>move was part of an attempt to cut staff numbers.<br><br>The Bellagio poker room was busy tonight. Survivors included:<br>Russell Rosenblum, Scott Clements, Scotty Nguyen, Elky, <br>Burt Boutin, David Singer, Giou Luong, Toto Leonidas +<br>Soheil Shamseddin.<br><br>He may be a monster online but Sorel Mizzi had never won a live<br>tournament on American soil. Until today that is. If you are in Vegas why not visit downtown. I did today.<br>Neonopolis still looks closed but the El Cortez has improved <br>tenfold. I never thought I would write that and I wouldn't if <br>Jackie G had stayed in charge.<br><br>The GN is a maze, completely different. The buffet is upstairs,<br>new restaurants, new poker room, great pool.
